I'm craving some feedback and want to maybe dive/back into another/new fandom and I think the best way to do that is to target/consume fandoms that I know have a population of more than...5.

(I think it might be Dragon Age? But I've got 3 games to play through before I'll feel comfy writing things.)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (aka MCU) is huge and pretty active. Fandom activity is mainly in Tumbler rather than LJ, but there are a number of LJ communities and new fics are posted on AO3 every day.

Honestly, fandom seems to have moved away from commenting culture. No feedback or interaction, just 'kudos', 'likes' and 'reblogs.'

This. I'd say it for a lot of things, actually, but I know the fandom places on my LJ have pretty much evaporated - the comms are still there, but they update maybe once in a month, and when they do, it's not with speculation or squeeing, but with a fic or a fanart, and that's it.

I think the "Merlin" fandom is still pretty active when it comes to posting fics everyday. Like lynnenne said the MCU universe is pretty active. I think "Supernatural" is still active. I don't think this is part of the MCU universe, so I'll say that the X-Men, especially the Charles/Erik, fandom is pretty active. "Teen Wolf" is another active fandom.

Most fandom activity seems to be on Tumblr but there are still a lot of stories being written in those fandoms.

I think we should expand Anne of Green Gables fandom. Well, if I can think of anything to write for it. I wanted to write you a treat SO BADLY.
